Who we help

Accountants for landlords.

From a single buy-to-let to a growing portfolio, we work out your rental profit, claim what you are entitled to and keep you compliant with HMRC.

Rental income has its own tax rules: which expenses are allowable, how mortgage interest is treated and what happens when you sell. We handle the numbers and the deadlines, including for landlords who live outside the UK.

What you need to stay on top of

  • Self Assessment for rental income

Your rental profit goes on your Self Assessment return, filed and paid by 31 January.

  • Mortgage interest

For residential lets, finance costs are not deducted as an expense. You get a tax credit at the basic rate of 20% instead.

  • Making Tax Digital

Property income counts towards the MTD for Income Tax threshold, together with any self-employed income.

  • Selling a property

If Capital Gains Tax is due on the sale of a UK residential property, you must report and pay it within 60 days of completion.

  • Living abroad

Landlords who live outside the UK fall under the Non-Resident Landlord Scheme.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still deduct my mortgage interest?

Not as an expense on residential lets. Instead you get a tax credit worth 20% of your finance costs. We work it out for you so the credit is applied correctly.

Do I need to tell HMRC about rental income?

In most cases, yes. If your rental income is more than £1,000 a year, you need to tell HMRC, usually through Self Assessment.

I live outside the UK. Can you help?

Yes. We deal with the Non-Resident Landlord Scheme and your UK tax return, and we can work with you in Greek.
