Who we are

SSA Accounting Services Limited (“SSA”, “we”) is a private limited company registered in Scotland, company number SC775510. Registered office: 145 Jarvie Avenue, Plains, Airdrie, ML6 7JR. This is our address for legal correspondence only and is not open to visitors; we work with clients remotely across the UK. What we collect

When you submit an enquiry form we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number and type of business, and, if you give them, your business name, the services you are interested in, information about your business (for example turnover band or number of employees) and your message. We do not ask for bank details, tax reference numbers or identity documents through this website.

When you book a paid consultation we also collect the date and time you choose and any notes you add. Card payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure payment page: we never see or store your full card details, and we receive only confirmation that the payment succeeded.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you book a consultation, to arrange and hold it, send your confirmation and reminder, and keep the records we must keep for tax purposes. Our lawful bases are steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, performance of our contract with you, our legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries. We do not use your details for marketing unless you separately agree.

Who we share it with

Your enquiry or booking is delivered to our business email account and stored securely in our website administration area. Our website host and email provider process this data on our behalf, and Stripe processes consultation payments as an independent payment provider under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Website enquiries are deleted automatically 24 months after they are received, unless you become a client, in which case your information is kept in line with our legal and professional record-keeping obligations. Records of paid consultations are kept for 6 years to meet tax record-keeping rules.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in the local storage of your browser so it is remembered on your next visit. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google servers and your IP address is shared with Google for that purpose. When you pay for a consultation you are taken to Stripe’s payment page, which sets its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email info@ssa-accounting.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
